Olaf Roelands, Dutch and European Patent Attorney

Olaf Roelands MSc

‘When we effectively defend a patent application and receive a patent grant, that is always a successful moment. Equally well, advising in a patent infringement case or precisely analysing the opportunities and risks which are important to the client is a great and valuable aspect of our work.
It especially provides satisfaction when you have successfully defended a European patent in opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office. If this is about a crucial patent position for your client, and the interests are significant, then you especially experience how much impact your work in its entirety can have.
My colleagues at Patentwerk have a strong team spirit, both business-wise and personally.’
